On Pavo, we strive to provide you with the most safe, authentic and real experience while using our platform. It’s our duty to take any measures needed to guarantee you this safety on Pavo. We want to provide you with the tools to help your judgement and increase your safety when interacting and meeting new people in real life. Along with our Pavo Community Guidelines, below are some tips from our team on how to stay safe when connecting with people you meet on Pavo.
Your location is completely in your control. It will only be shown when your beacon is set. When your beacon is paused, your location and profile become invisible. We ask for you to please be cautious when you set out your beacon and be aware of your surroundings. For example, when you leave a location that you had your beacon set, to increase your safety, remember to pause your beacon. We recommend you not to set out your beacon while at your home address.
Your beacon only lasts for 60 minutes. After that 60 minutes is over, if you were to forget it’s on, it will shut off for the day until you turn it back on the next day. If you experience suspicious behavior, please report the situation to us immediately. You also have the power to block or report anyone within your beacon radius. Once a user is blocked, they will not be able to see your location or profile.
We will always be here to support you so don’t hesitate to contact us at any time.
Information like your phone number, home address or any other personal information should be kept secret until you feel confident and trustworthy of the person you’re chatting with. Listen to your gut – if it doesn’t feel right, don’t force sharing it.
Even if you feel you have the deepest trust with someone you match with on Pavo, never share your bank information (e.g., credit card numbers, bank details, etc.). If someone asks for this information, report it to us immediately.
We recommend you stay chatting on the Pavo platform until you feel comfortable meeting them in real life. Refrain from immediately giving them your phone number or other contact information. Once you feel you can trust them, then go with your gut. Again, report any suspicious to us immediately.
We are here to ensure that we provide you with the safest dating experience. In order to do that, we have a team working around the clock to watch out for spam accounts, suspicious activity, and anyone who violates the Pavo Community Guidelines. By sending us a report, you stay completely anonymous to the account you reported. We got your back!
